The TIP3055 is a general–purpose NPN power transistor for use in power amplifier and switching applications. Supplied as a TO-247 package that provides better performance than the typical TO-218 package while guaranteeing the same electrical parametric distribution.
The TO-247 package is mechanically compatible with TO-218 so can be used as a direct replacment in an existing circuit.
