Although LEDs have largely replaced incandescent lamps as indicators there are some times where the warm glow of a filament lamp is preferred, especially when building a project with a retro feel. These miniature lamps, sometimes called grain of wheat lamps run from 6V and require only 60mA. The lamps are made with a 3mm diameter so they can be easily installed where otherwise you might install a 3mm LED.
