4049 Inverting Hex Buffer
The 4049 is a replacement for the 4009. Because the 4049 requires only one power supply, it is preferred over the 4009 and can be used in place of the 4009 in all inverter, current driver, or logic-level conversion applications. In these applications the 4049 is pin compatible with the 4009, so can be substituted for these devices in existing as well as in new designs.
